I heard that your company is Zero Waste Certified. What does that mean?
Our manufacturing facility has met a strict set of guidelines outlined by Green Business Certification Inc (GBCI) which includes diverting at least 90% of overall waste from landfills and implementing other systems to limit our impact on the environment. We first achieved Zero Waste Gold level status in 2016 by diverting 97% of our waste from landfills through composting, reusing, reduction, and recycling. Since then, we have maintained >97% waste diversion in addition to our comprehensive sustainability and waste management program spanning many facets of production, including processing, sanitation, employee education, community outreach and even on-site gardening. We are proud of all our employees that work every day to maintain our Zero Waste certification and proud to be the first plant-based food manufacturing facility in the US to achieve this certification.
