Classic Cheese Pizza
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb store-bought or homemade pizza dough (to make gluten-free, use gluten-free crust)
- ½ cup store-bought pizza sauce
- 1 package Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Finely Shredded Mozzarella
- cornmeal, to prevent sticking
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Place pizza stone or baking sheet in oven and allow to preheat for at least 30 minutes.
- Let pizza dough sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough to a 10 to 12-inch round. Transfer pizza dough to a large sheet of parchment paper or a pizza peel lightly dusted with cornmeal. Evenly spread pizza sauce over pizza dough, starting from the center and expanding out in concentric circles. Sprinkle cheese evenly across pizza.
- Using oven mitts, carefully remove pizza stone or baking sheet from oven. Use pizza peel/parchment paper to carefully transfer pizza to preheated surface and place back in oven. Bake at 450°F for 14-17 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is golden-brown.
