Classic Cheese Pizza

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb store-bought or homemade pizza dough (to make gluten-free, use gluten-free crust)
  • ½ cup store-bought pizza sauce
  • 1 package Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Finely Shredded Mozzarella
  • cornmeal, to prevent sticking

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Place pizza stone or baking sheet in oven and allow to preheat for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Let pizza dough sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough to a 10 to 12-inch round. Transfer pizza dough to a large sheet of parchment paper or a pizza peel lightly dusted with cornmeal. Evenly spread pizza sauce over pizza dough, starting from the center and expanding out in concentric circles. Sprinkle cheese evenly across pizza.
  3. Using oven mitts, carefully remove pizza stone or baking sheet from oven. Use pizza peel/parchment paper to carefully transfer pizza to preheated surface and place back in oven. Bake at 450°F for 14-17 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is golden-brown.
