BLT Grilled Cheese
- 1 package vegan bacon
- ½ cup Original Vegenaise
- 8 slices whole grain bread
- 1 package Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Finely Shredded Cheddar
- 1 large beefsteak tomato, sliced into thin rounds
- 4-8 leaves butter lettuce
- Heat non-stick sauté pan and cook bacon until crisp. Set aside.
- Spread Vegenaise on each slice whole grain bread. Place bread on large pan, plain side face down for 1 minute. Flip and generously sprinkle 4 slices with Dairy-Free Finely Shredded Cheddar. Enclose with remaining slices. Cover to steam for about 2 minutes. Uncover and flip, griddling bread until golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove grilled cheese from pan and gently peel apart. Add a few slices bacon, tomato and lettuce to each sandwich and enclose. Slice in half and serve warm.
