Bread Boat Cheese Fondue
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package Follow Your Heart Shredded Mozzarella
- 1 large loaf of bread
- 2 tbsp un-bleached flour
- 2 tbsp vegan butter
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 3 tbsp white wine
- olive oil
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut a large rectangle into the loaf of bread, leaving a border around the edge about an inch thick, remove it and some of the excess bread to create a boat for the cheese fondue.
- Cut the removed bread into croutons and place onto a baking tray. Drizzle over olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Give the croutons a toss until evenly coated.
- Bake the bread bowl and croutons in the oven at 350° F until golden and toasted.
- For the cheese fondue, heat a sauce pot and add butter. Whisk in flour and create a roux. Cook about 2 minutes, whisking constantly. Add plant-based milk and white wine. Then add Dairy-Free Shredded Mozzarella and whisk until uniform. Add more milk if needed.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the fondue into the toasted bread boat.
