Broccoli Cheddar Style Crescent Ring
INGREDIENTS
Crescent Ring:
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 4 ounces Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 ¼ cup Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Cheddar Shreds, divided
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper
- 1 can crescent rolls, separated into 8 triangles
- 1-2 tablespoons aquafaba (liquid from a can of chickpeas)
Dipping Sauce:
- ¼ cup Follow Your Heart Original Vegenaise
- ½ teaspoon dijon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon granulated garlic
- ⅛ teaspoon granulated onion
- 2 teaspoons vegan bacon bits
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon plain unsweetened vegan milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- In a steamer basket, steam broccoli 5 minutes until fork-tender. Remove from heat and let cool. Roughly chop into bite sized pieces.
- Into a mixing bowl, add broccoli, dairy-free cream cheese, ¾ cups cheddar style shreds, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine.
- On a parchment-lined, lightly oiled baking sheet, arrange triangles into a ring so short sides of triangles form a 3-inch circle in center, and pointed ends are pointing outward. Press together overlapping corners.
- Spoon broccoli mixture over short ends of triangles near center circle to create ring shape.
- Cover broccoli with remaining cheddar shreds. Fold pointed ends of triangles over filling. Tuck tips under bottom edge of dough.
- Brush tops and sides of dough with aquafaba.
- Bake 25-27 minutes until dough is browned and dairy-free cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven. and let rest 10 minutes.
- For dipping sauce, add Vegenaise, dijon, garlic, onion, bacon bits, parsley, and milk. Mix to combine.
- Cut ring into 8 wedges. Serve with dipping sauce.
