Classic California Burger
INGREDIENTS

- 1 tbsp olive oil, divided
- ½ white onion, roughly diced
- salt
- ½ cup Follow Your Heart Original Vegenaise
- ½ cup Follow Your Heart Thousand Island Dressing
- 2 slices Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free American Slices
- 8 dill pickle slices
- 4 tbsp mustard
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 2 -4 slices tomato
- 2 vegan burger patties
- 4 seedless burger buns (sub gluten-free buns to make this dish gluten-free)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a medium pan to medium-high. Add onions and salt. Reduced heat to medium-low and cook, stirring frequently, for 10-15 minutes, until onions are browned.
- Cook burgers according to package instructions. Top with American slices after flipping burger once, cover, and cook until cheese is melted.
- Assemble burgers by spreading Vegenaise on top and bottom burger buns. To the bottom burger bun add Thousand Island, 2 pickles, tomato, lettuce, burger, onions, more Thousand island, and top bun.
