Cheeseburger Fries
INGREDIENTS
- 3 lbs. frozen waffle fries
- 1 lb. vegan ground beef
- ½ cup diced onions
- dill pickle slices
- vegan bacon bits (optional)
- salt & pepper to taste
Simple Burger Sauce:
- 1 cup Follow Your Heart Original Vegenaise
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp dill relish
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- salt & pepper to taste
Vegan Cheese Sauce:
- 1 bag Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Shredded Cheddar
- ¼ – ½ cup unsweetened plant milk
- salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- To make the burger sauce, simply combine everything in a bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- To make the vegan cheese sauce, add the unsweetened plant milk to a saucepan over medium heat. Once it starts to bubble, add in the Dairy-Free Cheddar Shreds. Whisk until melted. Season to taste, and add more plant milk if it’s too thick. Keep warm on low, covered.
- Crumble the vegan beef into a preheated pan over medium high heat. Cook until browned throughout, about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like! Add a bit of water if it starts to dry out. Keep warm on low, covered.
- Bake or Air-Fry the waffle fries according to the package instructions. Season with salt and pepper, and then add them to a large dish and top with the vegan ground beef, vegan cheese sauce, burger sauce, onions and pickles (and bacon bits if using) and dig in!
