Loaded Cheese Fries

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package fries
  • 1 package Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Finely Shredded Cheddar
  • Follow Your Heart Thousand Island Dressing
  • ¼ cup plant-based milk
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. For the caramelized onions, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions in the pan and let cook, stirring occasionally. After 10 minutes, add salt and brown sugar and stir to combine. Continue to cook and stir occasionally for another 20-30 minutes until onions are caramelized.
  2. For the cheese sauce, add Dairy-Free Finely Shredded Cheddar and plant-based milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir the cheese occasionally for 5-10 minutes or until melted and smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place fries in the air fryer and bake until golden according to package instructions.
  4. Once the fries are ready, begin assembling by pouring your cheese sauce over the fries, followed by the caramelized onions and Thousand Island sauce.
