Pepperoni Pizza Fries
INGREDIENTS
- 12 oz frozen French fries (waffle cut)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ⅓ cup vegan pepperoni
- ⅓ cup pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Shredded Mozzarella
- ¼ tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Shredded Parmesan
- 1 tsp finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
- cooking spray
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare fries according to package directions.
- While fries cook, in a wide non-stick skillet, heat olive oil to medium, and add vegan pepperoni in an even layer. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until slightly browned with crisp edges. Remove, drain on a paper towel, and set aside.
- When fries are done, place them on a serving plate/tray, then proceed with next steps.
- Wipe out skillet and spray entire inside surface of pan liberally with cooking spray. Spread sauce out evenly in pan and top with Dairy-Free Shredded Mozzarella (pro tip: mix with a quarter cup of dairy-free cream cheese for a creamier melt). Sprinkle oregano over top, and top with vegan pepperoni.
- Cover pan and heat over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Uncover, and turn off heat. Allow to cool in pan for 4 minutes.
- Using a rubber spatula, slide sauce, cheese, and pepperoni out of pan over top of the fries.
- Garnish with Dairy-Free Shredded Parmesan and parsley.
- Serve immediately.
