Vegan Kimchi Burgers
INGREDIENTS
Yield Makes 4 Burgers
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free American Slices
- 1 – 2 cups chopped vegan kimchi
- Green lettuce
Gochujang Mayo
- 1/2 cup Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Vegenaise
- 1 Tbsp gochujang
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- Dash of onion powder
- Dash of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Burger Patties
- 1 pound plant-based meat
- 5 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 Tbsp gochujang
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
INSTRUCTIONS
- Make the gochujang mayo by combining everything in a bowl. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Combine all the ingredients for the burger patties. Form the mixture into 4 patties (about 4.5 – 5 ounces for each patty). Over medium high heat, cook the patties for 3 minutes. Flip, add a slice of Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free American slices to each patty. Then squirt a few drops of water into the pan, and cover to melt the cheese. Cook for 1 – 2 minutes.
- Assemble burger from bottom to top as follows: bottom bun, gochujang mayo, lettuce, burger patty, kimchi, more sauce, top bun! Serve immediately and enjoy!
