White Mushroom Pizza
INGREDIENTS
- 8 oz your favorite prepared pizza dough, left out at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, about half a package
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp vegan/non-dairy margarine
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- 1 Follow Your Heart Organic Garlic Aïoli Vegenaise
- 5 oz Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Finely Shredded Mozzarella (about half a package)
- 8 oz button or crimini mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oil in a 10-inch non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat. Add butter.
- Add onions to pan and cook, stirring frequently until transluscent, about 5 minutes. Add salt, reduce heat to low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until onions develop a deep brown/golden color, about 20 minutes. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 550°F. On a well-floured surface, roll out pizza dough. Spread Organic Garlic Aïoli Vegenaise across dough, then top with mozzarella, onions, and mushrooms. Place in oven, cook for about 7 minutes, turn, and place back in oven until cheese is melted and crust is cooked through, about 5 more minutes.
- Sprinkle with basil and serve!
