Italian Bagel Sandwich

Filling Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp safflower oil
  • 1 package vegan bacon
  • 4 everything bagels
  • 4 leaves butter lettuce
  • 4 slices Follow Your Heart Provolone
  • 1 package peppered vegan turkey
  • 3 pepperoncini, finely chopped
  • ½ English cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp oil-cured black olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1 organic tomato, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, sliced into rings


Dressing Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup Original Vegenaise
  • 1 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp coconut nectar
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp red chili flakes
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp finely ground black pepper


  1. Heat a sauté pan and add oil. Cook bacon until slightly crisp. Set aside.
  2. Toast bagels. Set aside.
  3. For dressing, add Vegenaise, vinegar, mustard, coconut nectar, oregano, chili flakes, sea salt and pepper to a bowl and whisk until uniform.
  4. Spread dressing generously on both sides of all toasted bagels.
  5. To bottom half of each bagel layer one sliced butter lettuce, one slice Follow Your Heart Provolone, vegan turkey, vegan bacon, pepperoncini, cucumber, olives, tomato, and onion. Enclose with top of each bagel.
  6. Serve immediately.
