Savory Vegan French Toast


Instructions

  • ¼ cup Follow Your Heart VeganEgg powder
  • 2 cups regular plain unsweetened soymilk
  • 1 tbsp each of:
    • garlic powder
    • paprika
    • ground mustard
    • dried sage
    • onion powder
    • salt
    • black pepper
    • dried thyme
    • cayenne pepper (can do less of this, to taste)
  • Follow Your Heart Vegan Lemon Herb Dressing, for serving
  • 6 Sourdough bread slices
  • Roasted Veggies / Breakfast Potatoes / Vegan Bacon or breakfast sausage
  • scallions

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix together your vegan egg, spices, and soymilk until well Let sit for about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a bit of cooking Lightly dip your bread in the egg mixture & add to the pan. Cook for a few minutes on each side, until golden brown and bread lifts from the pan easily.
  3. Serve the French toast with breakfast potatoes, bacon or breakfast sausage, roasted veggies, & top the French toast with lemon herb dressing (in place of maple syrup) and chopped scallions.
