Cheeseburger Nacho Fries
INGREDIENTS
Cheeseburger Nacho Fries
- 6 – 8 cups waffle fries
- 2 tbsp vegan butter or oil
- 1 cup diced red onion
- 1 ½ – 2 cups vegan beef or cooked lentils
- 2 tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½ tbsp maple syrup
- 3 tbsp salt-free steak seasoning
Nacho Cheese Sauce
- 1 ½ cups Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Cheddar Finely Shredded
- ½ cup plant milk
Super Special Sauce
- 1 cup Follow Your Heart Soy-Free Vegenaise
- ⅓ cup minced pickles
- ¼ cup sugar-free ketchup
- ¼ cup mustard
- 1 ½ tbsp onion powder
- 1 – 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ – 1 tbsp maple syrup
Tasty Toppings
- ½ cup chopped lettuce
- ⅓ cup diced tomatoes
- ⅓ cup diced red onion
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat your oven and bake the waffle fries according to the package.
- While the oven is preheating, make your vegan cheeseburger meat in a large pan by sautéing the diced red onions in oil until clear and then sauté your vegan beef or lentils in the onions.
- Using a spatula break the vegan beef apart and brown all sides as you add in the steak seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and maple syrup.
- While the vegan beef is cooking on medium-low heat, in a medium pot heat up the plant milk and then mix in the cheddar shreds while everything melts together to create a nacho cheese sauce.
- Make the super special sauce by mixing all the ingredients together until well combined and creamy.
- After the fries are done baking build the nachos with fries, beef, nacho cheese, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, diced red onions, and special sauce.
